BIOGRAPHY

Gloria Flores Baldwin, Esq. has been practicing law in the Central New York region since 1994, having graduated from the Syracuse University College of Law in 1993 with a Juris Doctor and a certificate in International Studies.

Ms. Baldwin was born in the Bronx, New York. She attended college at the State University of New York, College at Oswego where she received dual degrees in Public Justice and Psychology in 1985.

After college, Ms. Baldwin was hired to be the Director of the Youth Court Crime Diversion Program, where she was able to educate the community, on a county wide basis, about various aspects of the legal process. She remained Director until she enrolled in the Syracuse University College of Law in 1990.

During her Directorship of the Oswego County Youth Court criminal diversion program, her efforts resulted in the program being recognized by the Division of Criminal Justice Services and the New York State Governor, as one of the top five crime prevention programs in New York State.

Ms. Baldwin continues to serve the youth of the community as a an attorney for children panel member and has, through out her 27 years of practice, represented children in abuse and neglect matters as well as custody cases.

 

Ms. Baldwin has and continues to receive many honors for her professionalism, as well as for her contributions to the community and its youth. Her recognitions include the categories of being nominated for, chosen as and receiving awards for Outstanding Young Woman of America, New York State Bar Association Keynote Speaker on the topic of Juvenile Law Education Programs, Woman of Distinction, America's Most Honored attorneys, and other local and national recognitions, nominations and awards.

Ms. Baldwin has and continues to contribute personal and professional resources to benefit community relations and development.

 

Ms. Baldwin continues to hold speaking engagements upon request. She has been an instructor for NYS Court Examiners in the 4th Department on the subject of guardianship/Court Evaluator matters, has participated as a New Justice Mediation Services Executive Board Member and been an instructor of the Juvenile Law Education program in area elementary schools as well as a guest speaker for law enforcement training regarding juveniles.

 

In her personal life, Ms. Baldwin continues to be a point of contact for certain military spouse groups/organizations and regularly volunteers for/donates to fundraisers.
